Congress is on recess this week, which should mean that Rep. Katko is here in the district.
- If you hear of any planned public appearances, please notify thomas.m.keck@gmail.com and jonah.zern@gmail.com and well put the word out on our new text alert system. If you havent yet signed up for those text alerts, text EZNY24 to 797979.
- Multiple Katko Must GO protests are planned for Katkos Syracuse office during the weekactions on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 4pm, plus Friday at noon.
Katko said in his Syracuse.com/Facebook live interview last Monday that his doors are open, and that he is always happy to meet with concerned constituents (including protesters at his office!). We know from experience that this is not really true, but lets test him on it. If your work schedule allows, please choose one or more of the weekday events next week and join us.

Make public broadband a critical local government issue
Now is the time to make public broadband a critical local government issue. Public broadband can increase local revenues. Public broadband provides consumers with choices and savings so far absent due to monopolistic practices by the few available providers. Public broadband is a practical means of sustaining net neutrality.
Please call on County Executive Joanie Mahoney (315-435-3516) to make Onondaga County a pioneer in public broadband. Call Legislature Chair Ryan McMahon, Democratic Floor Leader Linda Ervin, and Republican Floor Leader David Knapp (all at 315-435-2070) to jointly introduce legislation to implement public broadband in Onondaga County.

Bring SHAME ON KATKO signs, or signs supporting an unimpeded FBI investigation or just attend to show your support of the Mueller investigation.
NYS Voting Access Reforms
The New York State budget must have funds appropriated to implement voting access reforms, including early voting. Please call Gov. Cuomo to tell him that the budget must include funds to carry out his own voting access proposals, or else his words will be meaningless.

Stop Anti-Democracy Big Money Riders – Syracuse!
Bike/march dress as wealthy folks
Start: 12:00 noon, John Katkos Syracuse Office 440 South Warren Street
Finish: The Federal Building – 100 South Clinton Street
This is a key moment to fight against subversive Anti-Democracy Riders that Conservatives in Congress are trying to attach to the Appropriations Bill. This includes a package of provisions that would unleash Citizens United 2.0 that would enable likely more than $1 billion per election cycle in secret, tax-deductible campaign contributions from religious organizations and other 501(c)3s to buy our elections.
You will dress up as wealthy folks on bikes and ride from Katko’s office to the Federal Building (or you may March). There, you will have friends stopping you and the “Big Money Riders” from getting in. Supported by Public Citizen, CNY Solidarity Coalition and YOU!
