Action Alerts – Week of September 17th

CNY Solidarity members and supporters:
Please find below the weekly ACTION ALERTS from Indivisible NY24 and our legislative action teams.

First off, amazing work from everyone who was supporting candidates in last week’s primary. Congratulations to Rachel May, who won the state senate primary for SD-53 (pending counting of absentee ballots this Thursday), and Shadia Tadros, whose race for Syracuse City Court Judge remains too close to call. Both Rachel and Shadia were significantly outspent by their opponents, but they had people power on their sides.

With the primary behind us, note that the general election is just 50 days away. Mark your calendars for Nov. 6, confirm your voter registration, and make sure your friends and family are all registered too. The registration deadline is Oct. 12, and Indivisible’s online voter registration tool is available here. Once you’ve checked all that, reach out to your favorite candidates’ campaigns and ask what you can do to help.

One more preliminary note: Our friends at Chenango Change, Indivisible Mohawk Valley, Indivisible NYCD22, FLIP NY 24, and Cazenovia Call to Action have organized a NY22/NY24 “Flip the District” summit this Sunday in Cazenovia. More details below, but please note that PRE-REGISTRATION BY 9/21 IS REQUIRED.  NO ONE WILL BE ADMITTED OTHERWISE.  CLICK HERE TO PRE REGISTERCLICK HERE TO ASK A QUESTION.
