Monetary donations are best as each organization can use this money to provide what they know their clients need most. But many accept non-perishable food donations & certain non-food items. The Syracuse DSA is also collecting donations to distributed directly to people who are losing SNAP (food stamps) benefits for the month of November 2025 and has created a NY food resource google spreadsheet.
