Tell state lawmakers – Keep New York’s state and local resources out of Trump and ICE’s cruelty.
For years ICE has tried to divide us, determined to cruelly target immigrants and separate families. ICE continues to pressure local law enforcement and local government agencies to search for, arrest, and deport people, and to separate families who are part of our New York. With President Donald Trump promising to tear families apart, devastate immigrant communities, and carry out mass deportations, it is even more critical to protect our immigrant neighbors.
Email NY lawmakers to pass New York for All Act Today!

Contact Trish LaMonte or John Lammers if you have any feedback, tips or story ideas.

Letters to the Editor
CNY Solidarity Coalition encourages letters to the editor regarding issues affecting us locally and nationwide. We also recommend that letters are written in response to recent articles or other letters; these are more likely to get published. Links to these articles will be included each week.
If you’re looking for a subject to write about, here are this week’s suggestions:
Guidelines for writing Letters to the Editor, with a link to previously submitted letters, can be found here.

Economic Power – Boycott Citizens Bank
Where we choose to spend our money and time is one of our greatest collective strengths. Every purchase we make, and every time we just show up to help, we demonstrate our values and progressive ideals for human rights, labor rights, social justice, and environmental protection.
More Information about Citizens Bank
Citizens Bank has long financed private prison and detention facility companies like CoreCivic and GEO Group even though there have been years of evidence of forced labor, healthcare neglect, and other abuses.
CoreCivic alone has a $680 million ICE contract. A step towards human rights is to eliminate profiteering from incarcerating human beings.
Contact Citizens Bank to demand that they stop funding private companies that profit from ICE contracts.

Syracuse Street Heat
Syracuse Street Heat is just one, very unencumbered way to work for peace and social justice. We’re part of a decades-long grassroots tradition here. We stand out and stand up for what we stand for. Bring your own sign – or use one of ours. No meetings or committees, so participation time is minimal (yay!)
EVERY FRIDAY from 4:00 to 4:45 p.m.
Focused on the war in the middle East…Israel’s military genocide of Gaza and invasion of Lebanon. We disperse along the sidewalk with our signs at the very busy intersection of Erie Blvd East and East Genesee St. (across from the DeWitt fire station; park in the nearby mini mall lot.) When the temperature is below 20 degrees, we cancel! Learn more on Syracuse Peace Council’s website.
