CNY Solidarity & IOC’s Next MeetingSunday, March 1st at 2:00pm – 4:00pm All Saints Parish Center, 1342 Lancaster Ave, Syracuse This month will feature a panel discussion about the issues surrounding Club America and how to ensure school clubs are adhering to state and federal laws. The second hour will feature meetings of our working groups to continue the work to plan protests, contact our representatives, and planning actions. Doors open at 1:45pm. Please carpool with others if you can to help with parking. We also offer watching our meetings on zoom if you can not attend in person to help keep our meetings accessible. Please be aware that participation in discussions will be limited on zoom. When you RSVP the zoom link will be sent to you. If you can come early to help us set up, contact us.

ICE Out for Good – Massena Border Patrol Station Saturday, February 28, 12:00 PM – 02:00 PM 135 Trippany Rd, Massena NY On the last day of the month, ICE & CBP detainees at the Massena Border Patrol Station will be moved to the Burke Border Patrol Station in Malone for March. Given the robust nature of human and civil rights abuses happening nationally, and the known abuses happening at the Massena Border Patrol Station, we are calling the people of the North Country to take action in a nonviolent and peaceful protest. We will be gathering at the entrance to the border patrol station on Trippany Road in Massena, bringing awareness to the abuses happening under the Department of Homeland Security, Homeland Security Investigations, Immigration & Customs Enforcement, and Customs & Border Patrol.

Micron Town Hall Saturday, March 7, 3-5pm Southwest Community Center, 401 South Ave, Syracuse This is a unique opportunity to both learn from and contribute to the critical conversation about Micron. It is presented by the CNY United for Community Benefits Coalition (CNY Solidarity is a member of the Coalition). The Coalition will be presenting a Town Hall about Micron. This will not be just another event with speakers and a question and answer session. It will be interactive. There will be facilitated poster sessions where you will learn about the critical issues that Micron presents to our CNY community, but, more importantly, we will solicit your responses to these issues and you will have an opportunity to let us know what issues are most important to you. Neighborhood Defense Trainings Tuesday, March 10, 5:30 – 7 pm Recurring Zoom event The New York Immigration Coalition will be offering bi-weekly Neighborhood Defense Trainings. This training will prepare volunteers on their rights and risks, how to support with family preparedness, community canvassing, conducting ICE watches, and on the ground support. Registration is required.
