Some additional information: On April 7th, the US President Donald Trump threatened to escalate the US and Israeli war on Iran to the point that, …, “a whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again.” This was a barely veiled reference to nuclear weapons later reinforced by V.P. J.D. Vance.
Mercifully, Trump stepped back before the deadline. A temporary ceasefire was brokered, with Iran agreeing to reopen the Strait of Hormuz for two weeks. The new deadline for a peace plan is April 21.
Watch this compelling interview to better understand the moment we are in.
Upcoming Meeting Schedule: May 3 | May 31 | June 7

A core intention of CNY Solidarity Coalition is to bring together and support organizations already out there helping directly affected communities in the Central New York area. Each week we’ll spotlight one of the over 100 organizations in our Directory; there’s a LOT going on!
Syracuse Herbal Study Group
Syracuse herbal study group is dedicated to offering an affordable, accessible and reliable education in plant medicine while building community across cultures and enhancing the well-being of our CNY neighborhoods. In addition, we aim to create a platform for ongoing work towards the conservation of native plant species while strengthening the human relationship with the natural world. We acknowledge that our work is done on the ancestral lands of the Onondaga people, fire keepers of the Six Nations of the Haudenosaunee. We stand in support, allyship and partnership with the Onondaga Nation and work to uphold the principles of the Two Row Wampum. We have been active in the community for 8 years in partnership with the Skanonh Center in Liverpool and we run a direct aid program to area families with the proceeds from our classes.
