3. Why boycott? Since it hit the store shelves in 1974, “Round Up” and other toxic herbicides have sold the US consumer with the advertising that we need a yard like a green blemish-free carpet. We don’t. The herbicide industry has also sold us on the framing that “weeds” are bad. They’re not. “Weeds” are plants. Yes, some weeds can be annoyingly invasive, cause allergies, or give us itchy rashes. Yet, some “weeds” are edible or medicinal. In numerous lawsuits, “Round Up” has been linked to causing non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and was ordered to pay settlements of over $14 billion dollars.  “Round Up” has also been linked to increasing the bee population morality rate (Journal of Ecology).  
4. Alternative product: Vinegar, clove and citrus oil sprays, boiling water (3 Natural Homemade Weed Killers That Actually Work)… or just let the dandelions grow!
