Tell Congress: ICE OUT! – Americans across the country are protesting the violent crackdown on immigrant communities and on dissent, and support for doing away with ICE entirely is at an all-time high after the murder of Renee Good. Government funding will run out on January 30. A number of Democrats, however, are hesitant to leverage their position in the appropriations fight to rein in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the agencies it controls, including ICE and Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Tell your Senators: Rein in ICE NOW. After calling your senators, use this link to call your representative.
Stand With Minnesota – Support Minnesotans Defending Their Communities From ICE This directory of places to donate comes from Minnesota activists on the ground, plugged into the situation. Everything is vetted, with the exception of individual GoFundMes (not everyone is in their networks, and they don’t want to pick and choose who is worthy of help.) See the list
Protect & Defend Our Immigrant Neighbors – Support the vital work of the Syracuse Immigrant & Refugee Defense Network (SIRDN): To Report ICE Activity call this Hotline: 315-400-0920 or Use this online form Learn More About SIRDN Here
SIRDN strongly urges everyone to not post sightings, rumors or questions about ICE activities to social media on their own; please contact SIRDN first, to help ensure everyone’s safety.

Tell state lawmakers – Keep New York’s state and local resources out of Trump and ICE’s cruelty.
For years ICE has tried to divide us, determined to cruelly target immigrants and separate families. ICE continues to pressure local law enforcement and local government agencies to search for, arrest, and deport people, and to separate families who are part of our New York. With President Donald Trump promising to tear families apart, devastate immigrant communities, and carry out mass deportations, it is even more critical to protect our immigrant neighbors.
Email NY lawmakers to pass New York for All Act Today!

Pass the New York Health ActSign (and share) our petition to Governor Hochul, Leader Stewart-Cousins & Speaker Heastie urging them to prioritize the New York Health Act. Email your legislators using this email tool. Ask them to prioritize NYHA.

Sign the Letter to Eliminate Nuclear WeaponsJanuary 22 will mark the 5th anniversary of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) entering into force (becoming official). TPNW is a United Nations led treaty that “provides a strong international framework to stigmatize and eliminate nuclear weapons, bringing humanitarian concerns to the forefront of nuclear disarmament discussions.” In March, 2025 the States parties (countries that ratified the treaty) adopted a declaration that acknowledges the rise of global instability and reaffirms commitment to a world without nuclear weapons. No nuclear-armed state, including the U.S., has signed onto the TPNW. You can take action to show your support for nuclear weapon elimination by signing onto the letter sponsored by the Back From the Brink Campaign. Sign the Letter

Change Your Party By Feb 14thPrimary elections are important. It is when voters decide which candidate should be on their party line in November. But turnout is low. In New York, you have to be registered in a party to be able to vote in primary elections. 30% of voters in Onondaga County are not enrolled in a party. If you want a say on who is on your ballot in November, you must change your registration by February 14th! In some areas, the primary is the election! Make sure you have a say! Economic Power – Boycott Hilton Hotels
Where we choose to spend our money and time is one of our greatest collective strengths. Every purchase we make, and every time we just show up to help, we demonstrate our values and progressive ideals for human rights, labor rights, social justice, and environmental protection.
More Information about Hilton Hotels
A Hampton Inn (a Hilton brand) hotel operator in Minneapolis MN refused to accept bookings from ICE. This brave act of resistance in the face of ICE invasion of Minneapolis resulted in Hilton prioritizing profits over human and civil rights, and severed ties with this hotel. We support businesses that refuse to cooperate with ICE. We boycott businesses that bend a knee to the fascist 47 regime.

Syracuse Street Heat
Syracuse Street Heat is just one, very unencumbered way to work for peace and social justice. We’re part of a decades-long grassroots tradition here. We stand out and stand up for what we stand for. Bring your own sign – or use one of ours. No meetings or committees, so participation time is minimal (yay!)
EVERY FRIDAY from 4:00 to 4:45 p.m.
Focused on the war in the middle East…Israel’s military genocide of Gaza and invasion of Lebanon. We disperse along the sidewalk with our signs at the very busy intersection of Erie Blvd East and East Genesee St. (across from the DeWitt fire station; park in the nearby mini mall lot.) When the temperature is below 20 degrees, we cancel! Learn more on Syracuse Peace Council’s website.
