Alert: Club AmericaAre you familiar with Turning Point USA ? Have you heard the name, “Charlie Kirk”? Are you aware clubs are being formed in our high schools funded by TPUSA? Some schools in our area already have established clubs. It’s possible you don’t share the values and beliefs this club promotes . Take a few minutes and view this video about the true nature of Club America provided by Defense of Democracy, an organization working state and nation wide to challenge the establishment of these clubs in our high schools. You’re likely in for a big surprise – maybe even a shock. Concerned as we are? Here’s how you can help. We are asking for a couple volunteers per school to fill out an information sheet on your high school; we’ll send you specifics. No worries – it’s all public information and you’ll probably get it right off your high school’s or district’s website. This is your chance to get involved. Will you help? Click here

Tell the Senate: Not a penny more for ICE brutality
The DHS funding bill can’t pass the Senate without Democratic votes. Our senators can’t vote to give Trump’s secret police more money to kill innocent people, terrorize our communities, and violate our rights. Demand that your senators vote later this week to rein in ICE and CBP death squads.

Economic Power – Ring Cameras
Where we choose to spend our money and time is one of our greatest collective strengths. Every purchase we make, and every time we just show up to help, we demonstrate our values and progressive ideals for human rights, labor rights, social justice, and environmental protection.
More Information about Ring Cameras
As US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents wreak havoc on American communities, big tech companies have been making themselves indispensable to the increasingly tyrannical state. Among them is Amazon subsidiary Ring, the company behind those AI doorbell cameras that have exploded in popularity over the last few years. More…
Here is some advice on what to do: We know dumping Ring can feel like a big and difficult ask. If you’re not ready to part ways with your camera just yet, please take a few extra minutes to activate the camera’s end-to-end encryption feature. Instructions are here

Syracuse Street Heat
Syracuse Street Heat is just one, very unencumbered way to work for peace and social justice. We’re part of a decades-long grassroots tradition here. We stand out and stand up for what we stand for. Bring your own sign – or use one of ours. No meetings or committees, so participation time is minimal (yay!)
EVERY FRIDAY from 4:00 to 4:45 p.m.
Focused on the war in the middle East…Israel’s military genocide of Gaza and invasion of Lebanon. We disperse along the sidewalk with our signs at the very busy intersection of Erie Blvd East and East Genesee St. (across from the DeWitt fire station; park in the nearby mini mall lot.) When the temperature is below 20 degrees, we cancel! Learn more on Syracuse Peace Council’s website.
