CNY Solidarity members and supporters:
Please find below the weekly ACTION ALERTS from Indivisible NY24 and our legislative action teams. The New York State primary election is 38 days away, and the general election is 92 days away. Please mark your calendars (Sept. 13 and Nov. 6), confirm your voter registration, and make sure your friends and family are all registered too.
On a related note, the House of Representatives is currently on recess, and Rep. Katko has promised to make multiple public appearances in the district. This likely just means lots of photo-ops announced after the fact, but if/when he does announce any planned appearances in advance, we’ll try to mobilize people to attend (if open to the public) or protest outside (if not). If you’d like to be added to our text message alerts for such events, please email me with your cell number. And if you hear of any planned public appearances in advance, please let me know that too.
And now, on to the action alerts.

Fri, Sat & Sun (Aug 10-12)
No formal actions this weekend, but if you’re supporting candidates in the Sept. 13 and/or Nov. 6 elections, we encourage you to reach out via their websites or FB pages and see what volunteer opportunities they have available. The key to these elections will be a) grassroots, volunteer, direct voter contact efforts (i.e., canvassing and phone-banking); and b) recurring, small-dollar donations from thousands of supporters. If anyone needs help making connections with any local campaigns, reply to me and I’ll get you started.
