Our next meeting will be Sunday, August 2, featuring a presentation and discussion about the growth of AI Datacenters and their impact on our way of life. Sign Language Interpretation will be provided at this meeting. We are expecting a capacity crowd at this meeting. Please try to arrive by 2:45. As usual, our second hour will be for Committee Breakouts. If this will be your first time attending one of our meetings, or you’d like to find out how you can become more involved, plan on visiting our Outreach Committee; they’ll help you find your “home”.

A core intention of CNY Solidarity Coalition is to bring together and support organizations already out there helping directly affected communities in the Central New York area.
Our Allied Organizations are particularly important to the Central New York community, and many people in our Coalition are also involved with them. If you’re looking for ways to become more involved, these organizations are a great place to start:
League of Women Voters of the Syracuse Metro Area
The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan political organization that encourages informed active participation in government. We work to increase understanding of major public policy issues through education & advocacy. For 107 years, we have be an educational resource for voter information.

The next Pop-up Honk and Wave is scheduled for Friday 7/31 at the intersection of Brewerton Road and Taft Road, North Syracuse, at 5pm. The following Friday, August 7, the Pop-up will be at 5 pm at the intersection of East Genesee St. & University Ave, in solidarity with the Anti-Nuclear War march by the Syracuse Peace Council. Meet & Greet with Mayor Sharon F. Owens and Chief of Police Mark Rusin Wednesday, August 5, 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm Public Safety Building, 1153 W. Fayette St., Syracuse, NY 13204 Syracuse Mayor Sharon F. Owens announced a series of four community meet-and-greet events that will take place across the City of Syracuse. Action Corps Summer Advocacy Training Wednesday, August 5, 08:00 PM – 09:30 PM Online Training This summer, Action Corps is bringing together people across the country to build the people power needed to secure a permanent end to the war against Iran and strengthen Congress’s role in preventing unauthorized wars. Join them for a 6-week advocacy training series where you’ll learn practical organizing skills, take meaningful action together, and become part of a growing network of people working for peace and human rights. Participants who attend at least 4 of the 6 weekly sessions may be invited to become Action Corps organizers, with ongoing opportunities to: > Take coordinated action with advocates across the country > Connect with partner organizations and experienced organizers > Continue developing advocacy and leadership skills > Help build campaigns that save lives through changes in U.S. policy Register
