Stop ICE in Syracuse As you may know, there was an ICE abduction in the Westcott Neighborhood on August 20th. This is not the only incident in the Westcott area, and it is one of many in Syracuse and Central New York since Trump took office – and one of many especially in the last few weeks. It is TIME we do something to STOP ICE in our city. Please can you HELP US inform our neighbors in the Westcott Neighborhood about what happened AND ask them to demand action from our local elected officials AND the Syracuse Police Department? YOU CAN HELP by canvassing with us THIS COMING WEEKEND. Let’s strike while the iron is hot! Please sign up for a shift here

Help Safeguard Our Students against Club America The 2026-27 school year is about to start and it’s expected that we Club America, created by TurningPointUSA founder Charlie Kirk, will be seeking to establish and expand its extracurricular club chapters in our area high schools. Whether a school had a chapter in the 2025-26 school year ( as did FM, Baldwinsville, Cicero-North Syracuse, Bodley (Fulton), Mexico Academy and Moore (Central Square), a new school year requires a new application to establish a club chapter. If you are interested in knowing more and working to protect our students with us, please respond using this form.

Our current political environment is fraught with danger, in both the real and digital world.
Indivisible National has published a guide with some suggestions for increasing your safety, as well as those around you.
We’ve added the link to our website; each Thursday, we’ll highlight one of the suggestions.
Use a Privacy-focused search engine
Major search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and Bing gather extensive information about you. This info includes your IP address, browser details, a unique ID from cookies, and your search queries. And if you’re like most people, you likely turned to Google for your latest online search. Google’s many apps and services have made it nearly indispensable. Your personal data helps search engine tracking analyze your habits, deliver personalized ads, and follow your online activity.
Luckily, you can swap Google for a genuinely private search engine.
Your digital footprint is like your physical fingerprint, leaving traces of you as you browse. Every click, every query can leave a trail. This growing awareness has spurred a demand for private search engines, which promise to shield our online activities from prying eyes. These search engines offer some refuge for those who value their privacy, promising that searches remain confidential and free from the clutches of data-hungry corporations.
