Update from Coordinating Committee
|
By order of the local bishop, All Saints can no longer host events that are partisan or perceived that way. With us no longer being able to meet at All Saints, we are looking for suggestions that could work for our meeting format of meeting in a large group and then breaking out into smaller groups. Please email us if you have any ideas. Thank you!
Now let’s get out the vote, win & we will regroup after the election!

Our Ongoing efforts: - Are you an activist? Do you want to get more involved in learning how to organize a protest? The CNY Solidarity Coalition has three protests in the works right now with various parts to each, all being organized by a small team. We could use more dedicated activists involved in planning and managing protests. If you would like to be involved, please contact us!
- Neighbor-2-Neighbor: CNYSC and IOC are encouraging all members to join or set up a group chat on Signal with their own like-minded geographic neighbors. Click here to get connected. For follow-up questions, please contact us.
- Take Action with The NY State Democratic Committee! If you want to get involved with a campaign, or just want to know what’s going on, this website always has the latest!

Save New Yorkers money and stop making gas utilities richerFor too long, New York’s gas utilities have been profiting by charging you for someone else’s new gas hookup. New Yorkers decided to end it. Utility regulators must finish the job. These hookups incur $600 million in costs every year and drive up the delivery charges everyone’s gas bills. Last year, legislation was passed to end the 100-foot rule and to stop these extra charges. Governor Hochul signed it into law. New York’s utility regulator, the Public Service Commission, has the power to implement this new law and make real progress on energy affordability. Submit a comment to show your support!

Tell Governor Hochul: Don’t Opt New York Into The Federal Private School Voucher Tax Credit Program. Congress passed the first national private-school subsidy as part of the 2025 budget law. It doesn’t hand parents a check — it works through the tax code instead. But the result is the same: our tax dollars end up paying for private-school tuition. Individuals can receive a federal tax credit for donating to “scholarship granting organizations” (SGOs). SGOs hand out private-school vouchers, most of which is expected to flow to private and religious school tuition. It’s not designed to help struggling families. Eligibility reaches families earning up to 300% of area median income, more than $500,000 in parts of New York. The program launches in 2027, but only in states that opt in. New York’s participation is a choice, and the decision is in the governor’s hands. Tax dollars that could fund public services instead pay private-school tuition for other people’s children — with none of the transparency or accountability the public expects in return.
Governor Hochul has indicated that she intends to opt NY in. Sign the petition to tell her NO.
