A core intention of CNY Solidarity Coalition is to bring together and support organizations already out there helping directly affected communities in the Central New York area.
Our Allied Organizations are particularly important to the Central New York community, and many people in our Coalition are also involved with them. If you’re looking for ways to become more involved, these organizations are a great place to start:
Join Neighbors For A Better Micron
Neighbors For A Better Micron is an association of residents who are Micron’s close neighbors. They filed a lawsuit in January 2026 because, in the words of its president, “our local and state governments have yet to address a core question: Has the company done enough to guarantee us that the economic benefits of its “mega-fab” will outweigh a range of potential negative impacts? We are concerned that the preparation to welcome our new neighbor has overlooked key questions, including rising housing costs, worker exposure to toxic chemicals, the pollution of air and water we rely on, significant greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption, a risk of flooding from wetlands destruction, and a strain on our transportation system.” As close neighbors, this association has legal standing to bring this lawsuit.
Becoming a member of this group means supporting their association’s general mission of encouraging Micron to be a good neighbor. It does not mean you’re part of any legal actions they take, and regardless of whether you choose to join as a member, you will not be personally liable for the lawsuit. There are many other ways to help accomplish our mission unrelated to the lawsuit, such as helping organize events, attending meetings, or conducting educational outreach.

Neighbors for a Better Micron: Hearing Community Voices Friday, June 26, 05:00 PM – 07:00 PM Meltzer Park, 8400 Stearns Rd, Clay, NY Micron Technology has recently broken ground on its massive semiconductor facility in Clay, New York. The company is slated to receive an estimated $20 billion in combined public subsidies. Join us at Meltzer Park to make our voices heard through audio and video! At this event, we will be collecting your video statements to share your voice and can train you on how to collect statements from your own neighbors. This event will include light refreshments, a brief ten minute introduction overview about filming social media statements, and then you’ll be able to make a statement yourself with the help of a few local volunteers. Benefit concert for Gaza with Colleen Kattau Friday, June 26, 05:30 PM – 08:00 PM 3746 Moonhill Rd., Skaneateles Spend a beautiful summer evening with the Syracuse Peace Council listening to music, eating good food, and raising money for medical assistance in Gaza. The concert will feature a live performance from award-winning vocalist and songwriter Colleen Kattau, whose music has been featured on Democracy Now and been praised by folk icon Bob Seeger.

We at DSA, IOC, and CNY Solidarity hope to see you step out and stand up with us against injustice and lawlessness perpetrated by ICE.
We hold Citizens Bank accountable for funding inhumane detention camps. We hold them accountable through boycott, divestment, and peaceful protest on 6/27 from 10-12pm at the branch at 6770 East Genesee St, Fayetteville. As always, when we assemble publicly to exercise our First Amendment rights, we do so assertively and peacefully. Ignore counterprotestors. Keep your cool, deescalate, and take care for each other along the way.
