Action Alerts – Week of September 7

CNY Solidarity members and supporters:

Please find below the weekly ACTION ALERTS from Indivisible NY24 and our legislative action teams.

From now through Nov. 3, these Action Alerts will focus primarily on the upcoming election, and how you can engage in direct voter contact, both locally and nationally.  Plus, please determine your Plan to Vote.

Make a Voting Plan. DO IT NOW. Read this:

Here are four ways to vote, starting with the most secure and reliable:

1.     Vote early in person, if you’re comfortable doing so.  Your vote will go directly into the system and be counted on election day. Early voting: Oct. 24-Nov.1. Six locations in Onondaga County. Details here.

2.    Absentee Ballot, Drop off in Person.  Details HereReduce the load on the USPS and the risk of the mail being late. You can also drop off ballots for others.

3.    Absentee Ballot, Mail it in.  Details Here. Do it as soon as possible.

NOTE: Absentee ballots, delivered in person or by US Mail (#2 or #3), will all be counted after Election Day.

4.    Election Day Voting. Try to get it done earlier. (Trump has promised that there will be chaos on Election Day.)

  • For Election Day voting: Confirm your registration and polling place by looking it up at onvote.net
  • To confirm your absentee application or ballot has been received, check status at  http://www.ongov.net/elections/index.html
  • Last Date for voter registration: October 9.

The links above are for Onondaga County. For others, find your county Board of Elections Here.

This is a low-volume list (typically no more than 4-6 messages per week), which now has more than 2,000 subscribers. We also maintain higher-volume listservs as venues for discussion of general Coalition-wide issues (discussion-cnysolidarity), key state and local action team organizing priorities (stateleg-cnysolidarity), and key Indivisible NY24 organizing priorities (IndivisibleNY24). The latter list includes more frequent action alerts and information about local electoral campaigns supported by Indivisible. If you’d like to be added to any of these lists, please reply to me and let me know which ones.
