NY Solidarity members and supporters:
Please find below the weekly action alerts from Indivisible NY24.
Our principal focus remains on supporting the democracy reform efforts in Congress. This means passing S.1: For the People Act, the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, D.C. statehood, and other key reform bills. These bills will increase our democracy’s chance of surviving the ongoing attacks upon it.
SATURDAY, JULY 31, 2021 AT 10 AM EDT, Rally at 2 pm with speakers and singers
From Onondaga Nation and walk to Columbus Circle.(Gather at the parking lot at Tsha’ hoñnoñ yeñh dahkwa’ at , the arena). Please wear orange and bring childs shoes or an item to place on the statue and the steps of the Catholic cathedral. Wear comfortable foot wear, bring water bottles.
Within the last couple of months over 2500 unmarked graves of Indigenous children have been located on the grounds of the Institutions of Genocide aka “Residential schools ” throughout Canada and the United States.
We will walk in honor of them and the thousands of survivors who endured unspeakable inhumane treatment by hand of priests, nuns and anyone else who were mandated by the United States Government to “kill the Indian and Save the man “.
The dark untold history of these two countries aren’t Isolated from the rest of the world. Every single Indigenous/ Aboriginal person can share the painful truth of what the Catholic church has done to native children for generations.

You’re receiving this email because you’re subscribed to the CNY Solidarity Coalition announcements list. This is a low-volume list (typically no more than 4-6 messages per week), which now has more than 2,000 subscribers. We also maintain higher-volume listservs as venues for discussion of general Coalition-wide issues (discussion-cnysolidarity), key state and local action team organizing priorities (stateleg-cnysolidarity), and key Indivisible NY24 organizing priorities (IndivisibleNY24). The latter list includes more frequent action alerts and information about local electoral campaigns supported by Indivisible. If you’d like to be added to any of these lists, please reply to me and let me know which ones.
In Solidarity,
Sharon
