CNY Solidarity Coalition

United in defense of our community and our neighbors

Action Alerts – Week of August 2, 2021

NY Solidarity members and supporters:

Please find below the weekly action alerts from Indivisible NY24.

Our principal focus remains on supporting the democracy reform efforts in Congress. This means passing S.1: For the People Act, the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, D.C. statehood, and other key reform bills. These bills will increase our democracy’s chance of surviving the ongoing attacks upon it.   Join Indivisible NY24 on Saturday, August 7 at 11 am to rally for democracy.

Rt I-81 reconstruction project planning continues as a local focus.  In preparation for CNY Solidarity Coalition meeting this Sunday, August 8 to prepare membership for the public comment period, you may wish to review the Federal Government draft environmental impact statement (DEIS) on the I-81 Project.  Comments from the public may be submitted until September 17.

You’re receiving this email because you’re subscribed to the CNY Solidarity Coalition announcements list. This is a low-volume list (typically no more than 4-6 messages per week), which now has more than 2,000 subscribers. We also maintain higher-volume listservs as venues for discussion of general Coalition-wide issues (discussion-cnysolidarity), key state and local action team organizing priorities (stateleg-cnysolidarity), and key Indivisible NY24 organizing priorities (IndivisibleNY24). The latter list includes more frequent action alerts and information about local electoral campaigns supported by Indivisible. If you’d like to be added to any of these lists, please reply to me and let me know which ones.

 In Solidarity,

Chris
