Urgent Action from SIRDN
JF Real Estate Profits from ICE Terror Syracuse-based JF Real Estate owns the Oswego Border Patrol Facility building. JF Real Estate is owned by John Funiciello, and represents roughly 3 million square feet of commercial space and more than 175 apartments in CNY. Recently, Funiciello said that he owns the Border Patrol building and leases it to the federal government. The current annual rent was advertised as $376,137. The Oswego border patrol facility has come under scrutiny for their direct role in the detention of at least 57 workers from Cato, NY and for their close ties with local law enforcement.
Together we demand that JF Real Estate cease their support of ICE and CBP (Customs and Border Patrol), while we urge the Syracuse Common Council to pass the full Melt the Contracts resolution: To ensure that businesses that support ICE enforcement efforts are barred from entering into contracts with the city government.

Join Neighbors For A Better Micron Neighbors For A Better Micron is an association of residents who are Micron’s close neighbors. They filed a lawsuit in January 2026 because, in the words of its president, “our local and state governments have yet to address a core question: Has the company done enough to guarantee us that the economic benefits of its “mega-fab” will outweigh a range of potential negative impacts? We are concerned that the preparation to welcome our new neighbor has overlooked key questions, including rising housing costs, worker exposure to toxic chemicals, the pollution of air and water we rely on, significant greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption, a risk of flooding from wetlands destruction, and a strain on our transportation system.” As close neighbors, this association has legal standing to bring this lawsuit.
Becoming a member of this group means supporting their association’s general mission of encouraging Micron to be a good neighbor. It does not mean you’re part of any legal actions they take, and regardless of whether you choose to join as a member, you will not be personally liable for the lawsuit. There are many other ways to help accomplish our mission unrelated to the lawsuit, such as helping organize events, attending meetings, or conducting educational outreach.

Support Regulations To Repeal The 100-Foot Rule Last year our movement achieved a big win for energy affordability and climate action when the 100-foot rule repeal passed the legislature and Governor Hochul signed it into law. We couldn’t have won without you! But we must stay engaged until the law goes into effect later this year. Draft regulations were just released by the Public Service Commission, NY’s utility regulator. We need to show widespread public support for the draft regulations. Public comments are due this Friday, June 26! Submit a Public Comment

Submit a Comment on the Proposed NDA for Civil Servants The federal government is proposing that civil servants sign sweeping NDAs. The public comment window closes this Friday, June 26. Here’s how you can weigh in: Read more about the proposed policy and how to comment.
Remember: You don’t have to be a policy expert to submit a comment. Former or current civil servants, industry professionals who work with the government, or anyone who believes our government shouldn’t operate in secrecy — your voice counts.

De-ICE Citizens Bank Protest – Continuing The 6/26/26 Pop-up Honk and Wave is canceled. We are directing activists to the De-ICE Citizens Bank protest on 6/27/26 10-12pm, 6770 East Genesee St, Fayetteville.
Join us June 27 to tell Citizens Bank to stop funding for-profit prison companies CoreCivic and GEO Group. These companies are making hundreds of millions of dollars by colluding with ICE to violate our neighbors human and Constitutional rights, and are doing so without independent oversight. No company should profit from harmful detention practices without consequences. We demand that Citizens Bank publicly sever business ties with CoreCivic and GEO Group.
