A core intention of CNY Solidarity Coalition is to bring together and support organizations already out there helping directly affected communities in the Central New York area.
Our Allied Organizations are particularly important to the Central New York community, and many people in our Coalition are also involved with them. If you’re looking for ways to become more involved, these organizations are a great place to start:
NAACP of Syracuse and Onondaga County
As this year’s recipient of the NAACP’s Harriet Tubman Freedom Fund Award, we acknowledge the leadership of the NAACP in the fight against racism and discrimination in our very own community. For 114 years, they have worked to disrupt inequality, dismantle racism, and accelerate change in key areas including criminal justice, health care, education, climate, and the economy. When it comes to civil rights and social justice, they have the unique ability to secure more wins than anyone else.
