Help Safeguard Our Students against Club America The 2026-27 school year is about to start and it’s expected that we Club America, created by TurningPointUSA founder Charlie Kirk, will be seeking to establish and expand its extracurricular club chapters in our area high schools. Whether a school had a chapter in the 2025-26 school year ( as did FM, Baldwinsville, Cicero-North Syracuse, Bodley (Fulton), Mexico Academy and Moore (Central Square), a new school year requires a new application to establish a club chapter. If you are interested in knowing more and working to protect our students with us, please respond using this form.

Privacy-focused maps/navigation
Google Maps is the #1 app for navigation, and it also does an excellent job of tracking your movements. There is no setting that makes Google Maps forget your movements, because your trips are part of what the service is built to collect. The only real fix is a map that routes on your own device and keeps no account. Instead of routing every trip through a company that profits from knowing your movements, these apps use open map data from OpenStreetMap and do their routing on your device. You download the regions you need ahead of time, and navigation works offline, so there is no account to create and no location history building up in the background.
And as an added bonus, they can still find Lake Ontario and the Gulf of Mexico. Suggested Alternatives

Vigil & Protest To Bring Carlos Home Saturday, September 12, 06:00 PM – 07:00 PM University United Methodist Church, 1085 E Genesee St, Syracuse Carlos remains in custody. He has an asylum hearing later this month, and we want to show him, and the court, that we are standing behind him, and fighting for his release. The Workers’ Center of CNY, New York Immigration Coalition, and the Food Chain Workers Alliance, the Syracuse Immigrant and Refugee Defense Network are organizing this vigil. Alissa lost her job with the Veterans Administration with those cuts, which was one of her catalysts for running for office. Bring your organization specific signs and stand with us on Bridge Street in Oswego. It is our hope to fill the streets with solidarity.
